Edna V. Rauser, age 95, Bismarck, ND, died June 29, 2014, in a Bismarck care center. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at Turtle Lake Baptist Church, Turtle Lake with Reverend James T. Bartsch officiating. Burial will be in the Turtle Lake Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour before the services at the church on Wednesday.
Edna was born October 26, 1918 in Turtle Lake, ND, the daughter of Jacob and Pauline (Sackman) Gett. Edna attended country school north of Turtle Lake. Edna worked on the family farm with her parents and also helped out with other farm families. She married Herbert Rauser on July 11, 1943 in a country church north of Mercer. Following their marriage, they made their home on a farm north of Mercer. Edna loved to work side by side with Herbert on their farm. Edna was involved in the Brush Lake Pals 4H Club when Geraldine was young. Edna and Herb lived on their farm until 2005 when they moved to Edgewood Vista in Bismarck. Edna entered the Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center in January 2013.
Edna and Herb were very proud of their grandsons and their wives and were always very happy to have Darin and his friends come to the farm to hunt. They would always have a meal on the table when they were done hunting. They also enjoyed cheering for Tracy in his many sporting events. They were always happy to have their great grandchildren come to visit. She enjoyed baking, crocheting and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Geraldine (Tyrone) Hinsz, Bismarck, ND; two grandsons: Darin (Jenny) Hinsz, Bismarck, ND and Tracy (Kerry) Hinsz, Barnesville, MN and four great grandchildren: Kylie, Kellen and Aubryn, Barnesville, MN and BreeAnn (Ryan) Hauck, Dunn Center, ND, a great great granddaughter, Addison Hauck, Dunn Center, ND; one sister-in-law, Mary Ann Rauser, Bismarck, ND and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 2011, two infant daughters and an infant son; three sisters: Ruby Herr, Eleanor Wagner and Irene Boe.
