Edith M. Christenson, age 83 of Regan, ND, died Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at a Bismarck hospital.

Assembly of God Church – Regan, ND;

Interment will be held in the Spring at the Regan Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Monday, one hour prior to time of service at the church.

Edith was born February 8, 1925 in Bismarck, ND to Charles & Agnes (Bondeson) Christenson. She attended the South Rock Hill Township School in Burleigh County through the 8th grade. In 1940, Edith moved to Duluth, MN where she lived with relatives and completed the 9th grade. In the late 1940's, she was employed as a waitress at various restaurants in Bismarck. Edith later moved to the Christenson family farm near Regan where she resided until the time of her death. She worked part-time as a domestic caretaker for many area families for several years. Edith enjoyed raising flowers and tending to her annual garden. She planted and raised many fruit trees while living on the farm.

She is survived by one brother, Erick Christenson of Regan; one sister, Effie Wickersham of Gettysburg, SD; niece, Robyn (Jason) Coalwell of Wahpeton, ND and their children, Justin, Sarah, Danielle, Samuel, & Joshua.

Edith was preceded in death by her parents (Charles & Agnes Christenson).
