Florence Earlene Anderson was born Sept. 7, 1939, the second daughter of Earl and Florence Thede. She was raised in Olympia, Washington. Her mother died from cancer when she was ten years old. She became a major caregiver for her young brother when her sister married and moved out of the home. All her years since, she was a caregiver; in nursing homes and hospitals, but most importantly for her family. While attending Olympia High School, she modeled bridal gowns and other clothes for a local department store. In 1957, she married Jim Anderson and moved to Tacoma, Washington, where they lived most of the next fifty-five years and produced four wonderful children. During those years, they moved to Seattle, Portland, and Puyallup, Wash., Hawthorne, Calif., and finally to Turtle Lake, North Dakota, where they operate a floral business.

Earlene retired from MultiCare Medical Center in Tacoma after working there for over 25 years. In those years, she worked as a nurse's aide, in Central Supply, in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) as a housekeeper and finally, after returning to school, as a PICU Unit Secretary.

Earlene is survived by her loving husband, Jim Anderson of Turtle Lake; one son, Christopher Anderson (Dee) of Susanville, CA, three daughters, Maureen "Moe" Wear of Tacoma, WA, Cathy Evett (Gary) of Renton, WA, and Stacie Adams (Jeff) of Turtle Lake, ND; one brother, Doug Thede of Rochester, WA. Nine grandchildren, Eddy Camarillo, Joshua (Carmella) Anderson and Sushina Anderson, both of Woodland, CA, Courtney (Rob) Love, Justin Wear, and Dylan & Callie Evett, all of Washington state, Timothy and Chrystal Adams, both of Turtle Lake, ND; Seven great grandchildren, Jasmine and Violet Camarillo, Lillyana and Mason Anderson, Justin Jr. and Janelle Gutierrez, and Charley Love; Many nieces and nephews.

Earlene was called home with the Lord suddenly, while sleeping peacefully in her home. She was preceded in death by her parents Earl and Florence, and her sister Jean. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
