Duane Borthwick , age 65 of Underwood, ND, died June 22, 2018 at his residence in Underwood.

His family will be receiving friends on Friday, June 29, 2018 from 12 Noon to 2:00 PM at Goetz Funeral Chapel, 205 Lincoln Ave. in Underwood for lunch and fellowship. Cremation has taken place.

Duane was born September 9, 1952 to Robert & Clarice (Haakenson) Borthwick and was raised in central North Dakota. He moved to Underwood, ND as a young adult and drove truck for a number of employers and assisted a few local farmers. Duane enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family and friends, and seeing his grandchildren.

He is survived by three sisters, JoAnn (Jim), Denice (Matthew), and Bonnie (Dean), and their children; his life partner of almost 50 years, Joleen Lehnherr; her son J.J. and his children Joseph, Skyla, Tristan, and Aaliyah.

Duane was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
