Obituary

Douglas Hamilton Presser, 48, of rural Ottertail, Minnesota, formerly of Mercer, North Dakota, died of natural causes while working in Williston, ND, on Friday, September 7, 2012.

A memorial service will be held 10:30 A.M. Thursday, Sept. 13th at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Mercer.

Doug was born at Travis AFB (Sacramento, CA) on July 5, 1964 to William and Joan Presser. He was raised on a farm north of Mercer, ND with his brothers and sister. In his youth, Doug hunted, fished, and trapped. Doug played basketball at TL-M and summer rec softball for local merchants. He attended North Dakota State School of Science and was a journeyman electrician in Minneapolis-St. Paul for most of his adult life, working for Mayer Electric for 18 years. Doug would bring his friends from Minnesota to the farm to hunt pheasants and waterfowl, and would fish whenever he could. He coached or refereed most of his daughter's sports teams, and was always fair.

He is survived by his daughter, McKayla Presser of Holdingford, MN; his mother, Joan Presser of Turtle Lake;
two brothers, Dennis (Laurie Larson) Presser of Madison, WI, and David (Teresa) Presser of Mercer, ND; his sister, Debora Presser of Bismarck;
and six nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister (Donna), his father (William), his step-father (John Westerlind), and his grandparents.

Rest in peace Doug, where the hunting and fishing are always good, and the electricians get to the job before the plumbers.
