Doris was born September 9, 1934, in Regan, ND to Dora (Davenport) and Louie Jorgenson. She was a graduate of Mercer High School, class of 1952.  Go Bison!

She married Alfred "Clint" Lowe on October 23, 1952 in Mercer, ND.  Having planned a quiet wedding at the pastor's home office, but convinced to go to the church, they were surprised to find the church full of friends and family.  A meal was prepared by Doris's mother and Hattie Pederson completing the now traditional wedding event.  "Till death do us part" resulted in 72 years of a committed, loving relationship.
