Donna (Lindteigen) Grabinger, 83, Turtle Lake, ND died Friday, November 15, 2024 at CHI St. Alexius Hospital, Bismarck, ND. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at St. Catherine's Catholic Church, Turtle Lake.  Interment will be held in the Turtle Lake Cemetery.  Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 20, 2024 from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM with a rosary/vigil at 7:00 PM at the church in Turtle Lake. Donna was born on September 22, 1941 in Peoria, Illinois to Theodore (Ted) and Marie (Presser) Lindteigen.  When she was 5 years old, her family moved to Turtle Lake where she attended school and graduated from Turtle Lake High School in 1959.  After high school, she attended Sister's of St. Francis School of Nursing in Minot until 1962.  She worked as an RN at St. Joseph's Hospital in Minot until her marriage to Ken.  She then worked at the Turtle Lake Community Hospital as a floor nurse until 1965.  In 1976, Donna returned to work as Operating Room Supervisor at the Turtle Lake Community Hospital, then with St. Alexius Home Health in Turtle Lake until 1994.

Donna married Kenneth Grabinger of Turtle Lake on July 6, 1963 at St. Catherine's Catholic Church where they continued to be members.   They then moved to their family farm 5 miles south of Turtle Lake, where they still resided.  She helped with all aspects of the farm until ill health forced her to slow down.  They were blessed with two children, Karla and Cory.  Donna instilled in her children the love of animals and her nurturing characteristic inspired them both to become veterinarians.  Donna was extremely proud of her grandchildren Madelynn and William.  She loved that they both cherished life on farm as much as she did, and that their love of cattle and farming will be passed down to another generation.

She loved any chance she got to get together with family and friends. She treasured time spent with everyone and loved her Turtle Lake community.  Donna enjoyed helping to plan and attend Presser Family Reunions.   She enjoyed gathering with family at St. Johns Cemetery to work or celebrate a life.  Donna often welcomed family into her home to stay and was always patient and proud to teach about life on the farm.  Donna had many special pets over the years that were lucky to call the farm home.

Her loving family includes her husband of 61 years Ken; children:  Karla (Randy) Sathre of Wausau, WI; Cory (Darla) Grabinger of Turtle Lake; grandchildren:  Madelynn and William Grabinger; brother:  Wayne (Shyrll) Lindteigen of Bismarck; sister-in-law:  Bev Berquist of Wilton as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents; father and mother-in-law:  Alvin and Viola Grabinger; sister and brother-in-law:  Shirley and Elmer Skar; brother:  Carvell Lindteigen; brother-in-law:  Bob Berquist; great-great nephew:  Kolten Opperude.
