DeLayne Weisz, age 86 of Underwood, ND passed away June 7th, 2011 at the Prairieview Nursing Home in Underwood.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, June 10th at St. John's Lutheran Church in Underwood with Pastor Dean Hartley officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 12 Noon to 2:00 PM Friday at the church.

DeLayne Lorine Clark was born Sept. 18, 1924 near Underwood, ND, one of seven children born to Delbert A. & Anna (Miller) Clark. She attended rural school through the eighth grade and graduated from Underwood High School. She met her future husband, Roland Weisz, in high school and they later married in July 1946. DeLayne received a teaching certificate from Minot State College and taught at several rural schools for a few years. Her and Roland farmed near Underwood for many years and raised two children, Renae & Collin. DeLayne held jobs at several local banks, the McLean County Sheriff's Office, the Prairieview Nursing Home, and the Underwood Post Office. She retired in 1979 due to health reasons. DeLayne and Roland enjoyed spending many winters in Arizona. They lived in Bismarck for nearly five years before Roland's death in May 2009. DeLayne and Roland are now reunited in heaven.

DeLayne is survived by one son & daughter-in-law, Collin & Vonnie Weisz of Underwood; one daughter & son-in-law, Renae & Wesley Heinle of Dickinson; five grandchildren, Jonathan Weisz, Michael Weisz, Shawn Heinle, Chantel (Austin) Zeller, & Shannon (Richard) Suggs; two great-grandchildren, Kylie & Kira Zeller; one brother-in-law, Walter Wall of Oregon; three sisters-in-law, Elsie Clark of Underwood, Leontina Bender of Bismarck, & Jane Weisz of Oregon; and many nieces & nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband (Roland), three brothers, & three sisters.
