Debbie Aldinger, 66, Underwood, ND died July 15, 2023 at Sanford Health, Bismarck. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Underwood with Pastor Nathan Schieber officiating. Interment will be held in the Underwood Cemetery. Lunch will served following the interment at the Underwood City Hall. The family will be gathering one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church.
Debbie Ann Aldinger was born on March 1, 1957 to Glen and Peggy Shirley. She was raised in Underwood. She had three older sisters and two brothers, one being her twin. She was the youngest of the family by seven minutes!
Debbie attended school at Underwood Public School. Debbie married her high school sweetheart, Otto Aldinger on April 20th, 1974. They enjoyed 49 years together. They were blessed with two daughters, Wendy and Stacy.
She was a lifelong member of St. John's Lutheran Church, being baptized and confirmed there. She worked at Prairie View Nursing Home and also did Home Health Care for many years.
Debbie loved gardening and canning. She made the best chokecherry jelly and pickles! She adored her grandchildren and loved spending time with them.
Debbie is survived by her husband, Otto Aldinger of Underwood, ND; her daughters, Wendy (John) Groves of Rugby, ND and Stacy (Kyle) Haraseth of Coleharbor, ND; her grandchildren, Grace and Jacob Solberg, Katie Hoffart, Tim and Tom Groves, Gavin, Lainy,and Kasen Haraseth; her great grandchildren, Ava and Elena Solberg, Lucas and Ivory Griffin, Lyra and Velva Hoffart; her sisters, Glenda (Jr.) Wallace and Pam Belile; her brother, Dean (Brenda) Shirley and her brothers in law, John (Pat) Aldinger and Dan Caswell; her sisters in law, Marce Seibold, Arlene Malnourie and Sue Aldinger and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Peggy Shirley; brother, Duane; sister, Sharon Meier; brothers in law, Artie Aldinger, David Aldinger, Loudell Belile and Chuck Sturn; sisters in law, Viola (Frank) Heinz and Laurice Caswell; nephews, Craig Sturn and William Peterson.
