Dawson Thomas Weiss, 14, rural Center, ND was born September 27, 2006 to Wayne and Steph Weiss and went to be with Jesus on December 17, 2020.

Dawson was witty and funny, he was always making others laugh. He was also strong-willed and private with his thoughts and feelings. You could find him playing football, basketball, or baseball on local teams or in the front yard. He loved to hunt and fish, especially with his dad. Fantasy football brought out his competitive side, playing against his dad and his second dad, Andrew. Dawson especially loved the New England Patriots and Tom Brady, in particular. He enjoyed wrestling with his dog, Dozer, and hanging out with his best friend, Kenny.

Dawson was a wonderful son and brother, cousin and friend, and best buds with his dad. We will miss his delightful grin and the sparkle in his eyes behind that fringe of dark hair. We will miss him constantly tossing a football, his epic Tiktok dance moves, and our adventures together.

Funeral services for Dawson will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at the Washburn United Methodist Church with Pastor Cory Thrall officiating.  Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Tuesday at the Methodist Church in Washburn and will continue one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church.  Masks and social distancing will be required for both the visitation and funeral service.  The funeral service will be live streamed on the Washburn United Methodist Church Facebook Page.
