Daniel "Danny" Denault, age 58, of Washburn, ND died February 19, 2018 at Sanford Health in Bismarck following a courageous battle with cancer.  A memorial service will be held 10:30 AM Saturday, March 3 ^rd at Birka Lutheran Church of rural Washburn, ND with Pastor Anna Haugen officiating.

Daniel C. Denault was born July 24, 1959 in Cavalier, ND to Joseph H. & Leona M. (Goulet) Denault. Danny graduated from Milton High School of Milton, ND in 1978. He married Rena Haas and from this union 3 children were born. Danny worked as an Ironworker for the ND Local 512 for 36 years. He worked many jobs at power plants in Minnesota and North Dakota and left his welding mark on many structures including the scoreboard of U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis most recently. Danny enjoyed beading, quilting, canning and gardening. He also enjoyed taking care of his lawn, golfing, fishing, playing pool and throwing darts. He recently took interest in riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Danny will be remembered for his socialness and ability to make friends wherever he went.

He is survived by his children, Tami (Ken) Richard of Mora, MN, Jeremy Denault of Big Lake, MN, & Scott Denault of Washburn, ND; 5 grandchildren, Jonathan, Mara, Renee, Jackson, & Taylor; his "lady to the end", Virginia "Ginnie" Swanson of Washburn, ND; his siblings, Kathy (Robert Soller) Abts of Belle Plaine, MN, Joleen (Gary) Vigen of Adams, ND, Rod (Shaunna) Denault of Springerville, AZ, Valerie (Greg) Olson of Langdon, ND, Mary Denault and Gene (Terrie) Denault, both of Elk River, MN, & Larry (Beth) Denault of Hastings, MN; and numerous nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and two nephews (Jan Vigen & Jordan Link).
