Dallas Felch, age 69 of Washburn, ND died Sunday, January 13th, 2013 at a Bismarck hospital.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 18th at First Lutheran Church in Washburn with Pastor Erik Johnson officiating. Inurnment will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery.
Dallas was born April 1, 1943 in Steele, ND, the youngest of nine children to Herbert & Hilda (Dahlstrom) Felch. His childhood was spent on a farm near Starkweather, ND where he attended school. Dallas enlisted in the U.S. Navy serving from 1962 to 1965. In the summer of 1964, he married Janice Winnegee. They made their home in the Starkweather area where Dallas worked construction. They later moved to Underwood, ND in 1977 where Dallas was employed with Falkirk Mine. He later married Myrna Evenson on February 17, 1984 and they made their home in Washburn. Following his retirement in 2002, Dallas could be found playing cards and enjoying time with family and friends. He was a member of the American Legion Post 12 of Washburn.
He is survived by two daughters, Kristy Felch of Bismarck, & Kelly (Varion) Hetle of Washburn, and their sister Kara (Chase) Cannady and two children of Dickinson; six grandchildren, Derrick (Erika) Felch of El Paso, TX, Scott (Kole) Felch of Bismarck, Channing Felch of Bismarck, Donata Felch of Bismarck, Alexis Hetle of Washburn, & Race Hetle of Washburn; two brothers, Richard Felch of Virginia Beach, VA, & Herb (Nettie) Felch of Devils Lake; and several nieces & nephews.
Dallas was preceded in death by his son (Keith), four brothers (Howard, Donald, Gerald, & Lyle), two sisters (Delilah & Esther), wives (Janice & Myrna), and his parents.
