Obituary

Curtis C. Wagner, age 74 of Wilton, formerly of Max, ND, died Sunday, August 10, 2008 at a Bismarck hospital.

Funeral Services: 11:00 AM Thursday, August 14, 2008;
Sunne Lutheran Church - rural Wilton;
Rev. Paul Schauer, Officiating

Interment: Peace Lutheran Cemetery – Max, ND

Visitation: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM Wednesday at Goetz Funeral Home – Washburn;
Thursday, one hour prior to time of service at the church.

Curtis was born November 6, 1933 near Max, ND to Deofil & Clara (Jungling) Wagner. He attended grade school in Max and farmed with his parents. Curtis was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1953 and served during the Korean Conflict. He was united in marriage to Wilma Schenfisch on April 17, 1955 at Makoti, ND and they made their home on a farm near Max. Curtis worked as a custom combiner for many years. He served as a director on the Benedict Elevator Board for several years. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed reloading his own ammunition. He especially enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren participate in sports. His wife, Wilma, passed away on August 5, 1991. Curtis lived in Bismarck and recently moved to Wilton in November 2007.

He is survived by four children; 3 sons, Steven (Natalie) Wagner of Roscoe, IL, David (Deb) Wagner of Milnor, ND, & Ronald (Stephanie) Wagner of Fargo, ND; 1 daughter, Lynae Hudson of Bismarck, ND; son-in-law, Dean Cottingham of Underwood, ND; twelve grandchildren, Beth & Jeff Wagner, Travis, Cris, Jesse, & Shayla Wagner, Jessica Cottingham, Amanda Haseleu, Aaron & Tyler Wagner, Jacob & Mariah Hudson; one great grandchild, Chesney Wagner; mother, Clara Wagner of Bismarck; special friend, JoNell Samson of Wilton, ND; one brother, Garry (Linda) Wagner of Mandan, ND; sister-in-law, Bev Wagner of Millington, TN; and many nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife (Wilma), one daughter (Diane), father (Deofil), and one brother (Dennes).
