Crystal R. Albrecht, 67, of Coleharbor, ND passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Sanford Health, Bismarck on March 25, 2020. Private family services will be held at the Underwood Cemetery, Underwood. A memorial service/ride will be held at a later date.
Crystal was born March 12, 1953 in Riverdale, ND the daughter of Melvin and Agnes (Shere) Berg. She grew up in Underwood and graduated from Underwood High School in 1971. She worked at the Park Inn Café while growing up and that is where she met Don Granlie. Crystal married Don and had three children. They lived in Bismarck for 3 years before moving to Underwood. Crystal received a degree from Bismarck State College and worked in Bismarck for a short time before becoming Activities Director of the Prairieview Nursing Home. There, she then met her second husband, Randy Albrecht. They made their home at Wolf Creek where she started her photography business.
Crystal's Photography started because of her love for the outdoors. She would drive backroads looking for wildlife, abandoned buildings and rustic scenery. Her love of the outdoors continued with hunting, fishing and gardening. Her favorite times were playing with her grandchildren at the lake. She was a women of many talents. She played the guitar and piano, she enjoyed cooking, canning and crafted the best scrapbooks.
Crystal is survived by her mother, Agnes Berg of Underwood, ND; her son, Michael (Jennifer) Granlie of Bismarck; her daughters, Jody (Cory) Fylling of Ruso, ND and Kelly (Noah) Ekstrom of Mandan, ND; 9 Grandchildren: Jalen Granlie, River, Maddix & Coltyn Fylling, Dominic Ekstrom, Gracyn, Avery, Evan and Liam Granlie; her brother, Miles (Sherry) Berg of Niantic, CT; a nephew, Justin Berg of Niantic, CT and an honorary sister, Sharon Schwartzbauer of Aberdeen, SD.
She was preceded in death by her father, Melvin in 2018.
