December 4, 1947 – January 30, 2026
Corinne Janel Kerzmann, 78, of Washburn, ND, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 30, 2026, at CHI St. Alexius Health, in Bismarck, ND. Funeral services will be held at the Washburn Baptist Church on Friday, February 6, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. Visitation will be one hour prior at the church. Burial will take place in the spring at the Turtle Lake Cemetery.
Corinne was born on December 4, 1947, in Bismarck, ND, to Arnold and Eleanora (Reiser) Renner, the fifth of five children. She was raised on her parent’s farm in Washburn, ND. Corinne attended school in Washburn and graduated from Washburn High School in 1965. After graduation, she attended Minot State College, studying business administration and graduated with a business degree in 1966.
Corinne met her soulmate, Dale Kerzmann, in the summer of 1965. They married on June 29, 1968. She worked at McLean County Social Services until 1968. They made their home on a farm in Mercer, ND until 1985. Dale farmed and worked in construction, while she helped with some outside chores, cooking for hired hands and raising their children, Dean (Dino) and Dustin (Dusty), over this time. They then moved to Washburn, and Dale worked for her father for several years on his farm. In 1987, she went back to college to further her education in business and computers to enable her to go back into the workforce. She worked for various employers throughout the years, mostly in administration. Her most recent, being at Job Service North Dakota.
Corinne’s faith was very important to her and was a member of the Washburn Baptist Church. Corinne enjoyed baking, cooking, country music, dancing, shopping, soap operas, and spending time with family. She had a smile that would light up any room. Family and friends will greatly miss her. Corinne was known for her strength, her unwavering love for her family, and her willingness to show up for others even when life was hard. She was a devoted mother whose guidance, honesty, and resilience shaped the men her sons became. Her conversations were thoughtful and sincere, and her presence made people feel seen and cared for. Corinne leaves behind a legacy of faith, perseverance, and deep love that will continue through her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Corinne is survived by her sons, Dean (Paulette) Kerzmann of Bismarck, Dusty (Maria) Kerzmann of Bismarck; grandson, Peyton (Karla Krebs) Kerzmann; granddaughters, Mia Kerzmann, MiKayla (Nathanael) Brown, Jaiden (Jesse) Bennett; great-grandchildren, Jett Bennett and Luke Brown; her siblings, Francine (Frenchy) Aune, Donna (Terry) Gunderson, and John (Lorraine Larson) Renner along with many nieces and nephews.
Corinne was preceded in death by her husband, Dale, parents, Arnold and Eleanora, brother, Gary, and sister, Norma (Will) Fried, brother-in-law, Kenny Aune.
