Obituary

Connor Blair, 16, of Mercer, earned his angel wings on Sunday, March, 22, 2026 surrounded by his loving parents and siblings. Funeral service will be held at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, Mercer, ND on Friday, March 27, 2026, at 11:00AM. Visitation will be one hour prior at the church.

Connor Blair was born on March 6, 2010, in Portland, Oregon, to Christopher and Kira Blair. He spent his early childhood in Portland before the family moved to Bismarck and Minot and eventually settled in Mercer. Connor attended Lewis and Clark Elementary School in Minot, where he found a favorite teacher in Mandy Burgess. After the move to Mercer, he was homeschooled by his loving mother.

Connor approached learning on his own terms — sometimes doing just enough to follow a story, other times memorizing important facts. He worked to do what he needed so he was able to play his favorite video games, Roblox, Marvel series games (enjoying the villains), and Mario Kart. He knew what he wanted and didn’t worry about what others thought.

When he was no longer able to walk, Connor enjoyed a front-row seat as his siblings, Reilly and Dakota, carried out the household chores. His brother and sister meant the world to him; they were his best and closest friends. Playing video games together was his greatest joy. He also cherished his special stuffed animals, which were always near and dear to him.

Connor is survived by his parents, Chris and Kira; his siblings, Reilly and Dakota; his half-sisters, Ava and Grace Blair; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandfather, Bob Pond.

Connor will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. His final promise to his mother was, “Mom, I got this.”
