Colleen Morgan, age 59 of Bismarck, ND, passed away on August 22, 2007 in Omak, WA from natural causes.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 29, at the First Presbyterian Church, Wilton, with the Rev. Paul Schauer and Pastor Catherine Bliss, officiating. Cremation has taken place.
Colleen Kaye Flinn was born July 14, 1948, in Bismarck, ND, the daughter of Max and Elaine (Ferderer) Flinn. She grew up on the family farm west of Wilton. She graduated from Washburn High School in 1966.
Only July 8, 1967, she married Glenn Pickeral in Springfield, IL. They had two children, Kelli Jo and Bryan Glenn.
Colleen attended college at PCC Sylvania Campus, Portland, OR and the University of North Dakota majoring in computer science.
On September 2, 1984, she married Frank Morgan in Las Vegas, NV. They were married for a short time and made their home in Bismarck.
Colleen was employed with N.I.S.C. in Mandan for 20 years as a senior support consultant. Prior to N.I.S.C., she worked at St. Alexius Hospital, Dakota Northwestern Bank, and she owned and operated "My Friend's House".
Colleen was full of life and laughter. She enjoyed traveling, visiting places within the U.S. as well as other countries. Her favorite location was Ireland, which she toured three times. Colleen loved Celtic music.
She was an avid quilter and enjoyed photography, genealogy, and working in her yard. Her greatest love and favorite pastime was spending time with her children and grandchildren, Kati and Brady. No one knew who had more fun, her or them.
Colleen had a great love for all of her family and friends and was always there for anyone who needed her. We will miss her infectious laugh and love of life.
She is survived by her daughter Kelli (Rodney) Hoerter, Vine Grove, KY; her son, Bryan Pickeral, Buffalo, WY; her granddaughter, Kati Schuh and her grandson, Brady Schuh, both of Vine Grove, KY; her mother, Elaine Flinn, Wilton, ND; her brothers, Chuck (Vickie) Flinn, Hazen, ND, Rod (Julie) Flinn and Don (Colleen) Flinn, both of Wilton, ND; her sister, Lori (Jim) Schacher, Mandan, ND; her very dear friend, Nancy Simpson of Colorado; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Max Flinn, her grandparents and two nephews.
