Clifford "Cliff" Alexander, 78, of Turtle Lake, ND died Saturday, August 23, 2025, at the Turtle Lake Hospital. Funeral service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at 10:00AM. Burial will be in the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Rural Mandan, ND on Tuesday following the funeral at 3:00PM.

Clifford was born on January 9, 1947, in Bismarck. He was the oldest child of Julius and Verna (Kottsick) Alexander. He was raised and educated in the Turtle Lake area attending country schools through the eighth grade and graduating high school at Turtle Lake High School in 1965. After high school, he attended college at the ND State School of Science in Wahpeton. In 1967, Cliff joined the United States Army and served in Germany and Vietnam. Upon being honorably discharged, Cliff returned to the family farm where he farmed until his death. Cliff was a member of the Turtle Lake American Legion and received a 50-year certificate in 2020.

He was a very private individual, but he was a friend and neighbor to many. He was always willing to lend a helping hand.

Cliff is survived by his two brothers, Ted of Bismarck and Bill of Ralston, WY, and one sister, lleen (Mike) Silvernagel of Bismarck, and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind many special neighbors and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his stepfather Adolph Bauer, sister-in-law Jan Alexander and nephew Brian Alexander.
