Cletus Delaine Sayler, 86, of Bismarck, formerly of Underwood went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, November 2, 2025, in her home. Funeral Service will be held at Parkway Funeral Home, Bismarck, ND, on Monday, November 10, 2025, at 11:00AM. Visitation will be one hour prior at the funeral home. Burial will be in Underwood Cemetery, Underwood, ND on Monday, November 10, 2025, at 3:30PM.

Cletus was born to Earl and Ernestine (Opp) Krantz on February 10th, 1939, in Blackwater Township west of Garrison. She was one of eleven children. She met her husband Delbert and after a short courtship they married on November 6th, 1955. This year they would have celebrated 70 years of marriage. They made their home on the Sayler family farm west of Underwood, where together they farmed and raised their three children, Tim, Pam, and Nancy.

Her love for entertaining others was unmatched. Her family and friends enjoyed her love for cooking and baking, and warm hospitality around her table. After their children were raised, Cletus had the opportunity to work off the farm. She was a nurse aid at the Prairieview Nursing Home in Underwood, a receptionist at the Falkirk Mine, and the Resource Center in Washburn. Cletus loved each job and cherished all the people she came in contact with.

After moving to Bismarck in 2018, she had more time for her hobbies. She made quilts for each of her grand kids and great-grand kids. She loved to crochet, knit, can garden produce, and bake. Bread was her specialty. She made sure there was ample food in the feeders for all the birds she enjoyed watching. Most of all, she loved meeting and getting to know her neighbors. Having one granddaughter a mile away was an added blessing.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 70 years, Delbert, her children, Tim and Renee Sayler of Underwood, Pam and Scot Brekke of Devils Lake, and Nancy and Robert Doepke of Bismarck; Grandchildren, Ryan and Melissa Brekke of Edmore, Kristen and Brent Johnson of Devils Lake, Melanie and Alan Peltz of Bismarck, and Britanie and Tyler Madsen of Charlotte, North Carolina; twelve great-grandchildren Davis and Ella Brekke, Kinley, Brooklyn, and Karley Johnson, Kambryn, Zayden, Tayah, and Braelyn Peltz, Victoria, Malachi, and Matthew Madsen; four sisters, Joan Chernick, Velma Weisharr, Luella Krantz, and Patty Friese; along with numerous extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Joyce Sand, Gladys Krantz, Rachel Porter, and Theresa Krantz,  brothers Milton Krantz and
Leornard Krantz.
