Obituary

Clarence J. Rademacher, 94 of Underwood, ND, died August 20, 2013 at Community Memorial Hospital in Turtle Lake.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M. Saturday, August 24th at St. Bonaventure's Catholic Church in Underwood with Rev. Patrick Cunningham as celebrant. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday at St. Bonaventure's Catholic Church with a 7:00 P.M. prayer service.

Clarence was born on March 24, 1919 on the family farm near Anamoose, ND, the son of Frank and Ida (Flemming) Rademacher. He attended school in Anamoose. Clarence farmed for 2 years prior to his marriage. He married Elizabeth Hager on November 4, 1932 in Orrin, ND. Following their marriage, they bought the family farm from his parents. Clarence also drove school bus for 37 years. They retired from farming in 1981 and moved to Underwood. Elizabeth died on October 14, 1989. Clarence also worked for Lincoln Park Apartments from 1984 to 1993. He married Thelma Sandberg on October 30, 1993, they made their home in Underwood. Thelma died June 10, 2002. Clarence served as the Anamoose township clerk for 30 years and enjoyed fishing, reading the newspaper, playing cards and dice, and doing word search puzzles.

He is survived by four sons: Charles (Linda) Rademacher, Williston, ND, Robert (Carol) Rademacher, Trenton, ND, Wayne (Jane) Rademacher, Underwood, ND, and Gene (Joyce) Rademacher, New Salem, ND; two daughters: Dorothy Fix, Underwood, ND and Arlene (Larry) Arndt, Underwood, ND; fifteen grandchildren; thirty great grandchildren; five great- great grandchildren; four sisters-in-law: Marie Hager, Minot, ND, Anna Mary Boese, St. Cloud, MN, Molly Rademacher, Blair, NE, and Johanna Ganje, Minot, ND; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wives (Elizabeth in 1989 and Thelma in 2002); five brothers and three sisters; and a son-in-law, Ernest.
