Chauncey Paul Radke, 36, Underwood, ND died November 17, 2015 of injuries sustained from a motor vehicle accident near Bismarck ND.
Memorial services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday November 21, 2015 at Augustana Lutheran Church, Underwood. Officiating will be Pastor Anna Haugen. Inurnment will be at 3:00 PM Saturday in the White Calfe-Karlson Family Cemetery, White Shield, ND.
Chauncey was born to Eugene and Connie (Karlson) Radke on March 9, 1979 in Minot, ND. Chauncey was raised and educated in Underwood, graduating from Underwood High School in 1997. He then went on to attend college in Wahpeton, ND at the NDSCS, graduating with a welding degree. He started his career in welding at Melroe in Bismarck, and put his expertise to work on many jobs throughout the area.
It was during this time of his life that he became a member of the Dakota Riders Motorcycle Club. He was very active in the lives of his brothers and his numerous friends. His home was open to anyone who needed a place to stay or a bite to eat.
Growing up, Chauncey was always active riding motorcycle, fishing, hunting, and music; these interests did not wane as he grew older. He loved attending the rallies in Sturgis, SD, bike runs and club gatherings, and he really loved playing guitar and writing songs.
He didn't always show it, but his family really did mean a lot to him, even though he had a hard time expressing his emotions. His laughter was infectious, and his bright personality will truly be missed by so many.
Chauncey is survived by his sons, Layne Scheid (10) of Bismarck and Zachary Vannurden (8) of Mandan; a sister, Corrie Kuntz of Garrison, ND; his father and step-mother, Eugene and Michelle Radke of Mandan; his mother, Connie Radke of Underwood; his grandparents, Norman and Elva Karlson of Garrison; his step-sister, Heather (Paul) Heinle; his step-brother, Bruce Hohbein; his nephews, Seth Kuntz of Washington state and Druex Kuntz of Darby, MT and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carl and Esther Radke.
