Obituary

Carvell Tyler Lindteigen, 62, of Turtle Lake, ND died March 29, 2014 at his residence in Turtle Lake. Memorial services will held 11:00 AM Thursday April 3, 2014 at the Goetz Funeral Home, Turtle Lake. Officiating will be the Rev. Randy Emgarten. Interment will held later in the spring at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery.

Carvell was born April 19, 1951 Minot, ND the son of Theodore "Ted" and Marie (Presser) Lindteigen. He attended school in Turtle Lake and Bismarck, ND. Carvell graduated from Bismarck High School. He worked for Lindteigen Construction of Turtle Lake and for Wm. Clairmont Construction before attending college. He attended State School of Science at Wahpeton where he graduated with a degree in applied science and as a computer systems technician. He was married to Paulette Belgarde and Jennifer Lall. Carvell worked for marine seismic exploration companies such as PGS Exploration and GECO Geophysical companies based out of Houston, TX and Norway. He was very proud of being able to work on many oceans worldwide and being able to visit many countries.   Carvell later worked for Geo-Link as a geological consultant with the oil industry in Wyoming and later the Bakken in North Dakota. His love of working with geology and the oil industry, led him to develop an interest and love of rock and earth formations. He took a special interest in the formations during the Jurassic Period.

Carvell was a very avid reader. He enjoyed books on topics that varied from fairytale to classics. He truly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He thought of Roxanne as his own daughter.

Carvell is survived by his sons; Christopher Tyler (Roxanne) Lindteigen of Dunseith, ND and Christian Alex Lindteigen of Bismarck, ND; 5 grandchildren, Hilary, Kristine, Brianna, Taylor, Christopher Jr.; 2 great grandchildren; Zayden and Haileigh; brother; Wayne (Shyrll) Lindteigen of Bismarck and sister; Donna (Kenneth) Grabinger of Turtle Lake; several nieces and nephews.

Carvell was preceded in death by his parents and sister and brother-in-law Shirley and Elmer Skar.
