Obituary

Carmelita "Lorna" Lincoln, 68, of Washburn, ND died December 10, 2010 at St. Alexius Medical Center in Bismarck, ND.

Services will be held on Thursday, December 16, 2010 at 10:00 AM CDT at St. Edwin's Catholic Church, Washburn with Rev. Frank Schuster officiating. Burial will be held after the service at Riverview Cemetery, Washburn.

Carmelita was born on December 7, 1942 to Emilio and Isidra (Luño) Hermosa in Candaba Pampanga, Philippine Islands. She came to the United States in 1970 and worked for the NCO Club at the Minot Air Force Base as an event coordinator for many years. While she was there she took classes to become a naturalized citizen, of which she was very proud. She married Sam Lincoln on December 7, 1985 in Minot, ND. While living in Minot, she was employed with the Fairfield Inn as the supervisor of housekeeping. In 1994 she and Sam moved to New Town, ND. They lived there until 2005 when they moved to Washburn.

Carmelita enjoyed sewing, crocheting and making her own clothes. She was also an avid bingo player and was an excellent cook. She also took great joy in traveling with her husband and gardening.

Carmelita is survived by her husband, Sam of Washburn; two daughters, Deborah (Eugene) Tarasenko of Butte, ND and Teresa Coster of Lakota, ND; two sons, Buddé (Sherilyn) Schultz of Madison, WI and Raymond (Aime) Schultz of Iowa Park, TX; 18 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three brothers-in-law, Francis III (Gloria) Lincoln and William Lincoln both of Athens, PA and Terrance (Nancy) Lincoln of Litchfield, PA; and one sister-in-law, Connie (Kevin) Slater of Burlington, PA.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her parents-in-law.

Memorials are preferred to the Bismarck Cancer Center, Bismarck.
