Calvin R. Reiser, age 83 of New Salem, ND, formerly of Washburn, ND, died Tuesday, April 3, 2007 at the Elm Crest Manor in New Salem.

No immediate services are scheduled as cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held at a later date at the Washburn Baptist Cemetery.

Friends and family may sign the guest book from 12 Noon - 6:00 PM Friday, April 6 at Goetz Funeral Home - Washburn.

Calvin Raymond Reiser was born June 12, 1923 at rural Washburn, ND the son of Edward & Lydia (Mittleider) Reiser. He attended rural school near Washburn and worked on the family farm. Calvin was employed as a farm laborer in the Washburn area for many years. He was once married to Juanita Pound of Wilton, ND. Calvin lived and worked in California for several years and later returned to the Washburn area. He became a resident of the Elm Crest Manor in 2004. Calvin enjoyed playing cards (especially pinochle) and billiards at the Washburn Senior Center. He also enjoyed watching baseball, Wheel of Fortune, and wrestling on television.

He is survived by one daughter, Candace Reiser TeBeest of Boise, ID; two sons, Donald & Bernall Reiser (unknown locations); two granddaughters, Londa Burke & Tiffany TeBeest of Meridian, ID; one grandson, Matthew TeBeest of Kansas; & one great grandson, Adin Burke; three sisters, Freda Arnold of Rockford, IL, Marjorie Arlt of Libby, MT, & Erma Carlson of Underwood, ND.

Calvin was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers (Harvey, Ervin, & Bennie), & 1 sister (Violet Schuler)
