Betty Lorraine Decker, passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 17th, 2016 at her home in Dripping Springs, TX. She was 86 years old.

Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at the Underwood Cemetery, Underwood, ND. Officiating will be Pastor Randy Emgarten. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM Wednesday at Goetz Funeral Home, Underwood.


Betty was born on November 10th, 1929 to Hubert and Lilly Yager in Underwood, ND. She was preceded in death by her parents and two husbands John Decker Jr and Thomas Mitchell Jr. She leaves behind three loving children, Jeanette Small, Pam Clark and John Decker III. She also leaves behind 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Betty graduated from Minot State Teachers College and worked as an elementary school teacher for several years before marrying and starting a family. She dedicated the rest of her life raising and loving her family.

Betty loved to travel and enjoyed several trips to Europe and Hawaii as well as many long road trips across the U.S.

She recently found a new church home at Dripping Springs Presbyterian after moving to Dripping Springs with her Son and Daughter-in-law. She enjoyed meeting and bonding with her small group at church
