Obituary
Bernice C. Fisher, 91, of Bismarck, ND, passed away October 15th, 2013 at her residence.
Funeral Services will be held 10:30 A.M. Monday, October 21st at the Washburn United Methodist Church with Pastor Peder Anderson officiating. Burial will be held in the Vang Lutheran Cemetery near Dunn Center, ND at 2:30 P.M. CDT Monday.
A family service will be held 7:00 P.M. Sunday at Goetz Funeral Home in Washburn.
Bernice was born July 6, 1922 on a farm near Werner, ND, to Peter & Clara (Pollestad) Nodland. She attended country school near Werner and was confirmed in the largest confirmation class of Vang Lutheran Church in 1935. Bernice attended beautician school in Bismarck prior to her marriage to Leo Fisher on October 15, 1944. They made their home in Everett, WA for many years before retiring to Helena and Townsend, Montana. Leo passed away on June 1, 2002. Bernice then moved to Dickinson, ND and later to Washburn and Bismarck. She enjoyed doing embroidery, baking, visiting with family, and going out to eat.
She is survived by one granddaughter, Nancy Fisher of Great Falls, MT; one great-grandson, Kyle; one aunt, Ruby Paulsen of Dickinson, ND; and many nieces & nephews.
Bernice was preceded in death by her husband (Leo), one son (Larry), three brothers (Arnold, Clinton, & Bernard), two sisters (Shirley Dahlen & Adele Sayler), & her parents.
