Beatrice Schauer, age 76 of rural Underwood, ND, passed away peacefully on February 14th, 2012 at her home.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday, Feb. 19th at St. John's Lutheran Church in Underwood with Pastor Dean Hartley officiating.

Interment will be in the McClusky Cemetery at 4:30 P.M. Sunday.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Saturday at Goetz Funeral Home in Turtle Lake.

Beatrice was born December 25, 1935 in McClusky, ND, the third of five children to Ed and Julia (Huft) Hieb. Beatrice was raised and attended grade school in rural McClusky. She then attended high school in McClusky. In October 1958, Beatrice married Marvin Helm. They farmed north of McClusky and had two children Renee and Mark. Marvin died of a farm accident in 1974. On December 2, 1977, Beatrice married Emanuel Schauer. They made their home west of Turtle Lake. Beatrice worked as a cook at various local cafés. She loved to read, travel, garden, and crocheted many afghans. She especially loved to spend time with her family. Beatrice's grandchildren Jeffrey and Jordan Pape brought a special sparkle to her eyes.

Beatrice is survived by her husband, Emanuel; her son, Mark Helm of Bismarck; two grandchildren, Jeffrey and Jordan Pape of Bismarck; two sisters, Elaine Finck of Gold Canyon, AZ, & Joyce Dockter of McClusky; one brother, Clyde Hieb of Elko, NV; and many nieces & nephews.

Beatrice was preceded in death by her parents, husband (Marvin), daughter (Renee Pape),
and brother (Melvin Hieb).
