Audrey A. Sims, age 74 of Wilton, ND died Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at her home in Wilton.

A Memorial Mass will be held 10:00 AM Friday, Sept. 25 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Wilton. Interment is scheduled for 1:00 PM Friday at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, south of Mandan, ND.

A prayer service will be held 7:00 PM Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Audrey was born September 19, 1935 in Bismarck, ND to Jack & Sophie (Waltos) Ewine. She attended rural elementary school and graduated from Wilton High School in 1953. Audrey enlisted in the U.S. Navy on Sept. 21, 1953 during the Korean War and was honorably discharged on August 4, 1954. She raised three sons and she lived in Bismarck, Driscoll, and Wilton, ND. Audrey worked as a secretary for Hedahls, Inc., and Globe, Inc. of Bismarck for many years. She later worked at the Hot Stuff Pizzeria at the Cenex convenience store in Wilton. She enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening, and reading. Audrey loved to spend time outdoors and enjoyed caring for her special cats.

She is survived by three sons, Dan (Renee) Sims of Bismarck, Michael (Marica) Sims of Wilton, & Brady (Connie) Sims of New Brighton, MN; seven grandchildren & twelve great-grandchildren; one sister, Beverly Ewine of Wilton; two brothers, John (Alice) Ewine of Bismarck, & Dennis (Claudia) Ewine of Wilton; and several nieces & nephews.

Audrey was preceded in death by her parents, a special friend (Norman Stueckrath), & sister-in-law (Betty Ewine).
