Anna Pchel was born on February 7, 1923 in Bottineau County, ND, the daughter of Peter & Elizabeth (Emigh) Pchel. Because of extreme poverty, Anna and her siblings were placed in the Grafton State School on July 10, 1930 where they were cared for. Anna spent many years as a resident at the Grafton State School where she was educated and taught lifelong skills. Anna worked for many different people and places providing house and personal care for people in poor health. On July 30, 1974 she was employed by Redwood Village Basic Care Facility, Wilton, ND. Anna was a tremendous asset to Redwood Village and remained there until her retirement. Following her retirement, Anna chose to live with her favorite family of 40 years, John and Jean Hruby. When Anna'a health started to deteriorate she was placed with Sherry Buchholz, Adult Foster Care, where she was very happy.

Anna was always grateful for her church family at First Presbyterian Church in Wilton, especially Vivian Hansen and Rodney and Ann Peterson for their personal concern and to Virginia Emineth as her special friend.

Anna had a wonderful life and knew when it was time to go home and chose to do it with dignity.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: Donald and Eugene and two sisters: Irene Paggett and Gladys Sannin.
