Amy Marie Snyder was born October 28, 1912 in Iowa to Otho and Hannah (Wagner) Snyder. She came to Underwood as an infant with her parents and grew up on the farm west of Underwood where she attended rural school. She graduated from Underwood High School and attended Minot Teacher's College where she received her teaching certificate. She later received her degree from the University of North Dakota. She taught rural school in the Underwood area for a number of years and then public school in Aneta, ND. She married Earl R. Landgren on June 25, 1941 at rural Underwood. They made their home and raised their family in Underwood. Amy taught public school in Underwood following her marriage and Earl managed the Farmer's Oil Co. In 1971 they began spending their winters in Mesa, AZ enjoying new friendships and warm weather. Earl died on February 17, 1996. Amy lived in Underwood until moving to the Waterford at Bismarck. This past April she became a resident of the nursing home at Underwood. Her family was the highlight of her life. She was an avid Minnesota Vikings and Twins fan and enjoyed gardening, knitting and playing Skip-Bo. She was a past member of the Alexander Presbyterian Church at Underwood.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Jim Pryor, Underwood, ND; son and daughter-in-law, James and Cherie Landgren, Pine River, MN; 7 grandchildren, Jennifer Bennett, Megan Norelius, Kelsi Compton, Jaimi Paige Landgren, Tanner Pryor, Brandon Pryor and Kory Pryor; 6 great grandchildren, Page Bennett, Wade Bennett, Rebecca Norelius, Aaron Norelius, Ryder Compton and Arya Compton; sister, Vera Shane, Bismarck, ND; brothers and sisters-in-law, Harold and Mona Snyder, Bismarck, ND, Marvin and Luella Snyder, Santa Maria, CA, Janet Snyder, Bismarck, ND, Hilda Tauer, Underwood, ND, Gail Landgren, Wilton, ND, Marion Runk, Bismarck, ND and Janet Snyder, Bismarck, ND.

Amy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son (Wade), brother (Frank Snyder) and sister (Betty Shultz).
