Alvin J. Aaseth, 71, of Coleharbor, ND and Casa Grande, AZ, died August 16, 2019 at his residence in Casa Grande. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at First Lutheran Church, Washburn with Pastor Curt Hanson officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.

Alvin was born on December 1, 1947 in Minot, ND, the son of Jorgan and Mabel (Horton) Aaseth. He was raised and educated in the Velva area, graduating from the Velva High School in 1965. Following graduation, he attended Hanson's Mechanical Trade School in Fargo, ND from 1965 to 1966 for welding and machinist work.

In May of 1972, Alvin married Carolyn Radomski of Velva. They made their home in Washburn, ND, where they raised their family. In 1966 Alvin began his life long career of 37 years in the coal mining and power plants in North Dakota, Montana and Wyoming. Alvin and Carolyn retired and moved to Coleharbor, ND in 2003, spending summers there and winters in Casa Grande, AZ.

He was a member of Oak Valley Lutheran Church, Velva and First Lutheran Church, Washburn. Alvin enjoyed working on metal crafts, fishing, camping and most of all spending time with family.

Alvin is survived by his wife, Carolyn; daughter Kim (Owen) Price, Hensler, ND; sons: Bob, Washburn, Corie (Sheena), Williston, and Dewey (Shannon), Hazen, ND; 13 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; sisters: Martha Seibel, Minot, Marion Shattuck, Minot, Sonja (Eldon) Harrold, Crewswell, OR, Ruth (Tim) Bredahl, Cottage Grove, MN, Karen (Tom) Bechtold, Casa Grande, AZ; brother, Don (Mary) Aaseth, Velva; brother-in-law, Eugene Howe, Lorida, FL and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Evelyn Howe; brothers-in-law: Wilbert Seibel, Calvin Shattuck and Allen Radomski; sister-in-law, Anetta (Vernon) Peplow and nephew, Bruce Howe.
