Alice Johnson, 91, formerly of Underwood, ND, died January 6, 2015 at the Baptist Health Care Center, Bismarck. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am Saturday, January 10, 2015 at St. Bonaventure's Catholic Church, Underwood, ND, with Fr. Patrick Cunningham officiating. Burial will be in the church Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at the church in Underwood. There will be a prayer service at 7:00pm. Visitation will continue for one hour before the services at the church on Saturday

Alice was born on November 29, 1923 in Douglas, ND, the daughter of Ben & Nellie (Dolan) Scott. She attended school in Underwood where she graduated from high school in 1941. Alice worked at the ND State Capital as a clerk prior to her marriage. Alice married Burnell Johnson in May of 1944 in Sioux Falls, SD. Following their marriage, they lived in Bismarck for a short time. They moved to Underwood where they raised their family. Alice enjoyed church activities and attending her children's sporting events. She also enjoyed playing cards, bowling, camping and fishing. Alice also enjoyed working at the elections. She was a member of the St. Bonaventure's Altar Society, VFW Auxiliary, ND Rural Mail Carriers Association.

She is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law: Terry Johnson and special friend Connie, Blair, NE, Greg (Nica) Johnson, Underwood, ND, Jeff (Chris) Johnson, Peoria, AZ and Jay (Shelley) Johnson, Cleveland, OH; a daughter and son-in-law: Barb (Jack) Jehn, Mesa, AZ; sixteen grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 2011; an infant daughter, Karen; two grandchildren: Ross & Chad; seven brothers and five sisters.
