Aletha Vossler, 94, of Mercer, ND died February 23, 2025, at St. Alexius Hospital, Bismarck, ND surrounded by her family.  Funeral services will be held at 10:30am on Thursday, February 27, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Mercer. Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 26 from 6-7pm at the church with a prayer service at 7:00pm. Burial will be in the Bethel Methodist Church Cemetery, Rural Mercer.

Aletha was born on February 21, 1931, at home rural Mercer to Henery and Katherine (Singer) Gessele. She attended rural school #2, through 8th grade.

She Married Arley R. Vossler on October 22, 1950, at the Bethel Evangelical Parsonage in McClusky, ND. To this union five children blessed from God were born, three sons and two daughters.

In the fall of 1952, they purchased a farm 12 ½ miles south and west of Mercer, where they raised their family. Arley passed away on November 15, 1985. Aletha moved to Bismarck, ND on January 2, 1988.

Aletha is survived by children, Kevin Vossler, Tamara (David) Schnabel, Bryan (Kerry) Vossler, Lori (Jeffrey) Walcker, 8 Grandchildren, Eric Vossler, Kelli (Bryan) Sears, Carey (Pierce) Taing, Nicholas (Angie) Schnabel, Jarret (Miranda) Vossler, Jill (Neuly) Hoff, Lindsey (Matt) Leer, Blake (Cassy) Walcker, 11 Great-Grandchildren, Iniko & Oakley Schnabel, Norah Sears, Ezaree Vossler, Ava, Tenley, Brecken Leer, Hazley & Hatley Hoff, Jaxten & Eliot Walcker, Very dear In-Laws, Marilyn Gessele, Loren & Jeannie Soule, Darlene & Willie Kostenko, Reuben Dockter, Eunice Vossler and several nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, Shelton, husband Arley, parents, Henry and Katherine (Singer) Gessele, 14 siblings, Martha(infant), Lenhardt, Theodore(Alvira), Helen(John), Edna(Vernon), Frieda(infant), Edwin Arthur(infant), Twins: Ella(Rudy) and Edwin(Eleanor), Arthur(Beverly), Lyla(Stan), Leonard(Violet), Mervin, foster sister Nancy(Eddy)and several nieces & nephews.

Memorials are preferred to donors' choice.
