Albert "Al" C. Toman Jr., 65, Mercer, ND, died September 2, 2016 at CHI Community Memorial Hospital in Turtle Lake.
Memorial Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Mercer with Pastor Randy Emgarten officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date.
Albert "Al" was born February 5, 1951 in Mandan, ND the son of Albert C. and Loretta (Berger) Toman. He was raised and educated in Mandan. He also attended trade school in Montana. Al was a truck driver and also did construction work. He moved to Mercer in 1996 and worked for the Lippert's at Chester's Bar. He later owned and operated the bar with Wanda Schlickenmeyer. They retired and sold the bar in 2014.
He enjoyed his dogs and hunting. Al was a big supporter of the Mercer Park Board and also supported the local children in their fundraisers, he would purchase way more than he ever needed.
Al will be greatly missed by his mother, Loretta Toman of Mandan; his brother, Mark Toman of Palm Springs, CA; his sisters, Bonnie Heck and Connie (Allen) Knoll all of Mandan; his nephews, Dustin Knoll of Bismarck, ND and David Knoll of Mandan; his nieces, April Vogel and Brittany Kuchenski both of Mandan and Elisa Knoll of Fargo, ND; his closet companion, Wanda Schlickenmeyer of Mercer and her children, Jamie Schlickenmeyer of Mercer and J.J. Schlickenmeyer of Turtle Lake, Carol (Kory) Kauk of Piedmond, SC and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father in 2001 and a sister Linda.
