Agnes "Aggie" was born on April 1, 1939 in Mandan, ND, the daughter of John and Anna (Rebenitsch) Bendish. Aggie was the oldest of 6 children. She was raised on the family farm south of Mandan in Fort Rice. She attended St. Mary's Central High School, she had to take the train to Bismarck and stay in town to go to school. Aggie graduated in 1958. She attended Bismarck State College for a year. She worked at Production Credit Association where she met Harley Jennings, the love of her life. Harley and Aggie were married on October 7, 1967. Following their marriage, they moved to their own farm in Washburn in 1972. They lived at the farm and raised their 5 children. Aggies greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved when they came around the farm, sometimes having all eighteen grandkids piled in the living room for a sleepover. Whether it was one or the whole family, everyone was welcome. She welcomed her family and any friends around her table, making many meals and lots of baked goods, she was known to stay up late baking buns for those that gathered. When not at the farm with family, you could find Harley and Aggie at all of the grandchildren's sporting events or activities.
Aggie stayed busy not only at the farm, but also worked on the election team, worked at a daycare for several years, served as a speech judge and 4-H Leader, NDFU local, county and state leader, and state outreach staff.
She also found time to cater many weddings, funerals and special gatherings for over 30 years. She was a board member for the McLean Electric, Council on Aging, and McLean County Social Services.
Aggies was a member of St. Edwin's Catholic Church where she played the organ, taught CCD, was a member of the altar society and cooked for many church gatherings.
