Adeline Krumwiede, age 89 of Underwood, ND died May 31, 2009 at the Prairieview Nursing Home in Underwood.

Adeline was born in Turtle Lake, ND on Jan. 22, 1920, the fourth child and only daughter of Alfred and Margaret (Lynch) Keel. She attended rural grade school and graduated from Turtle Lake High School. Adeline then attended the Capital Commercial College in Bismarck. After college, she worked as a receptionist for former North Dakota Governor William Langer during his campaign for U.S. Senator.
Adeline married Art Krumwiede on Sept. 20, 1942, at Sidney, MT. They farmed northwest of Turtle Lake from 1947 to 1957. In 1957, they sold the farm and bought Stubs Bar in Underwood, which they operated as 'Art's Roundup' until 1973. Adeline and Art sold the business and semi-retired to become "snowbirds", enjoying several winters in California and Arizona.
In retirement, Adeline enjoyed following the musical, sporting and drama activities of her 11 grandchildren. She remained in Underwood following the death of her husband, Art, in 1996. Due to health issues, she lived at the Senior Suites assisted living complex in Hazen from 2004 to 2007. In October 2007, she became a resident of the Prairieview Nursing home in Underwood.
Survivors include her three sons and daughters-in-law, Roger & LaRae of Medicine Lake, MT, Dave & Faye of Hazen, and Bob & Sandy of Underwood;
eleven grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; one half-brother, Vernon (Bernie) Keel of Denver, CO; one step-brother, Gordon (Rita) Bergo of Peoria, AZ; one step-sister, Lois (Mike) Madigan of St. Paul, MN; and special family friends, James & Jackie Coutts of Underwood.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son (Scott), husband (Art),
step-mother (Augustine Keel), & three brothers (Elmer, Ralph, and Earl Keel).
