Steven Lind, age 28 of Mandan, formerly of Washburn, died of natural causes on Thursday, June 28, 2012 at a Bismarck hospital.

A memorial service will be held 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 3rd at Evangel Assembly Church in Bismarck with Pastor Doug Graham officiating.

Steven was born November 21, 1983 in Turtle Lake, ND to Lyle & Betty (Stelter) Lind. He was raised in Washburn and graduated from Washburn High School in 2002. Steve received an Associate of Arts degree from Bismarck State College. He was employed with Bismarck Parks and Recreation and at the High Prairie Arts & Science Complex. Steve took great pride in job. He loved to spend time with his family and friends and enjoyed doing outdoor activities, especially kayaking and going for walks. He enjoyed helping others and is remembered for being a social person that had a smile for everyone. Steve was baptized on Easter Sunday 2012 at Evangel Assembly Church. In his unexpected death, Steve’s giving spirit lives with his gift of tissue donation.

He is survived by his parents, Lyle & Betty Lind of Washburn; three half-sisters, Barbara Kuntz of Bismarck, Tracy Hickman of Evangeline, Louisiana, & Shelly Lester of Washburn; one half-brother, LaMont Lind of Washburn; and his special friend, Nicole Eckroth of Mandan.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents (Orvin & Florence Lind, & David & Esther Stelter)
